I just had what I call “A moment”. When something comes over me out of the ordinary. A brief glimpse of why I do the thing I do. Often I ask myself “what am I doing, work a job, come home work the farm, try to serve the father “GOD” and it seems at times I am totally failing in all categories. For instance I have a customer who wants me to do more work in the future, I have a wife who wants me to do a few jobs. I have a few ideas of my own, but most importantly which is where I seem to fall short is “GOD”. He has a “Few” things, “jobs” “a plan” that he would hope if I am listening I will do. All winter I have tried to Juggle, and as I walked out the back door of our Lodge, I had one of those “Moments”.
GOD let me know it is not all about me. I am doing these things so other people can get a “Moment”
Let me paint a picture for you. I walk out onto our back deck overlooking our 3 acre pond. I hear nothing but “Birds of the Field”, worrying not. I see fish of the pond worrying not, surfacing to get a few bites of dinner. I see the grass, and the alfalfa field turning green not worrying and it struck me I have peace at this very moment which only GOD can provide.
I should tell myself more often GODS word.
“Are you not more important than the birds of the air” The grass of the field” Do I not provide for them.
That was my moment. I hope people can find one of those “moments” here and there like I do. If you cannot find it in your everyday life, come to our farm. I know it is here.
