Adaptogens work by normalizing our body’s natural stress response. They do this through a wide range of actions and energetics. Adaptogens, are said to help re-regulate, normalize, and enhance the function of the HPA axis.
They help maintain Homeostasis (the stability and balance within the cell or the body) when there is chronic stress. In return it helps to achieve overall WELL BEING. They help Homeostasis by contributing to the regulation of Bio Rhythms and Circadian, which control the body’s temperature and hormone balance.
Adaptogens do not stimulate or suppress any function. They merely help to balance them.
